Author Sheila Vieira, PhD

Dr. Vieira is a Portuguese Academic Translation Advisor II at AJE, where she is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of academic and technical translations. She is a Chemical Engineer (UNICAMP, Brazil) with a Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering (Petrobras/UNICAMP, Brazil) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (UNICAMP, Brazil). After her doctorate, she received a scholarship to work on a project on recycling of polymers at the University of Caxias do Sul (Brazil). She also worked as a research associate at Yamagata University (Yonezawa, Japan), where she studied the properties of electrorheological fluids and as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Toledo (Ohio, USA), where she initiated the research on magnetorheological fluids and co-advised Masters and PhD students in this area.
