American Journal Experts Celebrates 15 Years of Supporting Researchers Around the World

(JULY 30, 2019 - DURHAM, NC, USA) June marked the 15th anniversary of American Journal Experts (AJE). AJE is an author services company that provides researchers around the world with solutions and tools to help prepare their research for publication and share their work with the world. Shashi Mudunuri and Vadim Polikov founded AJE in Durham, North Carolina in 2004. Since that time, the company has grown substantially and now employs over 250 people and has generated nearly $175 million in revenue. In total, AJE has helped nearly 2 million researchers in 192 countries prepare and publish over 700,000 papers in English language journals.

Reminiscing on the past 15 years, Founder and CEO Shashi Mudunuri says, “My motivation behind creating AJE was to help level the playing field for authors around the world to have a fair chance at publication. I am proud to say that the impact AJE has made has surpassed my wildest expectations.”

AJE celebrated by hosting various events where they provided customers, employees and partners with custom gifts to commemorate the anniversary. The team also released two videos highlighting the history and people behind the work done at AJE.

Additionally, AJE decided to give back to the local Triangle and global research communities for their support of the AJE team and its mission over the past 15 years. AJE made four $1000 donations to the following organizations:

  • Kramden Institute: An organization providing technology, tools, and training to bridge the digital divide in our local communities
  • UNC Femmes: A university-based summer camp program that encourages young girls looking to further their interest and education in STEM fields
  • Environmental Defense Fund: A non-profit environmental advocacy group focused on global warming
  • Seeding Labs: An organization that helps talented scientists in developing countries around the world conduct life-changing research by donating lab equipment, tools, providing training, and more

The company wishes to sincerely thank their customers around the world and their partners in the industry. As for what the next 15 years looks look like, AJE’s management team believes the opportunities to be endless. Having recently opened an office in Beijing, China, the company is laser-focused on continuing to reach and support more authors and improve the global research landscape.
